Web Design Questions
How long does it take to build a website?
1 week is how long it would take to build a one-page website and a brochure-style website. For larger complex websites I would need longer. The timer starts when the onboarding process has finished.
Will my website work on mobile smartphones and tablets as well?
Yes, it will. Most people use their mobile phones to access the web and Google use a mobile-first index for their rankings. When making websites I switch between desktop, tablet and mobile.
How much does a website cost?
£395 for a one-page website, £525 for a brochure style website (up to 5 pages), £1,000 for advanced features (blog capabilities etc) and from £2,500 for a bespoke online business solution.
Who owns the copyright?
You do! It’s your website, your information, your data – you own it. You can take your website to another agency, host it yourself or ideally stay with me to host it for a low monthly cost.
What is WordPress web design and development?
WordPress is an open-source website platform. It allows people to build creative, powerful websites. It is a content management system (CMS) that allows you to manage your posts and pages with ease.
Can you convert my existing website into WordPress?
Yes, I provide free website migration. Some platforms are straight forward to transfer and some platforms such as Wix will require me to re-create your website.
eCommerce website questions
How much does an eCommerce website cost?
£750 for a 1 product store, £1,500 5 products, £2,200 for 10 products, £3,500 for enhanced online shop and £5,000+ for a bespoke shop. Please see the prices page for more information.
What is WooCommerce?
WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that allows you to turn your website into a fully functioning online store. It’s powerful, robust and for the base platform, it’s free.
Are there any additional costs associated with WooCommerce?
Yes, WooCommerce makes its money by selling premium features known as plugins. You might not need them and it comes down to what you want your eCommerce store to do. I likely have the plugins.
Can I add my products and products images/ content?
Certainly. I will provide a video tutorial showing you how to add all your products. Also how to add the short and long description as well as featured/ gallery images.
Website Hosting questions
What is web hosting?
Now your website is created people need to see it. This is achieved by making it public on the World Wide Web. This needs servers to keep it available on the internet, that’s what hosting is.
How much is hosting?
£9.99 p/m for a one-page website, £15 p/m for a brochure style website and £30p/m for all eCommerce websites. You will be charged after your website has been completed and you have approved it.
Can I purchase my domain?
Yes. If you already have purchased a domain name that is perfectly fine. If you haven’t I can buy the domain for you and add you to the account with full access.
Can I update the website myself once it’s been built?
Yes. I want all my clients to be self-sufficient. I am here to help you and I want you to get the most out of your website. I will provide you with login details and full access rights.
I already have a website, how easy is it to transfer it?
I offer free migration and transferring it to Focused All Day will not cost you. I will handle all the technical aspects on your behalf. I will need to know your website address and who hosts it.
Website Maintenance questions
What is website maintenance?
The internet is a fragile thing. There are so many technology changes and with its updates. Website maintenance is the process of updating your website and keeping it relevant and online.
Can you update my website for me?
£79 p/m for hosting and maintenance and £250 p/m for advanced maintenance. Updating your plugins, backups, premium plugins, free monthly support and extra support at reduced ad-hoc hourly rates.
What premium plugins are included in the silver website maintenance?
Affiliate Marketing software – have others promote. Sales funnel software so you can upsell your clients. A pro licence to a popular page builder, pop up builder, speed enhancements.
What is SEO?
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is a way of getting free, organic traffic to your website. Being visible in the Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs). When someone Googles you, you are there on page 1.
Will you do web design and SEO
for my project?
If the website package includes an SEO boost I will create your website in an SEO friendly way. I will submit it to major search engines and it will help lay the foundations of being found organically.
How much does SEO cost?
£250 one-off laying the foundation. £195 p/m DIY guided SEO, I’ll be your SEO consultant. £550 p/m you write the content and I optimise it. £1,200 p/m all the SEO is done for you.
How do I know if the SEO is working?
I will give you access to a dashboard so you can see your keyword position. Your website will show up in search engines for more queries. More search queries at a higher position mean more traffic.
How long will it take to get to the first page of Google?
This depends on numerous factors. How competitive your niche/ sector is. Also depends on what you are doing to promote your website. Are you writing blogs, are you following good SEO practices?

What will you need from me?
You need to fill in an onboarding questionnaire. I refine this regularly so I’m not asking too many questions. I need to know what your name is, business name, email address, team members (if any)
How do we start a project?

What size companies do you produce web designs for?
I work with individuals to SME’s. Some of my past projects have included: web design for small businesses, web design for charities, web design for tradesmen, eCommerce websites for startups.
